On November 20, 2010 the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, elevated Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke to the College of Cardinals. Cardinal Burke will now serve as a close advisor to the Holy Father.
Cardinal Burke has served as the Episcopal Advisor of Catholic Action for Faith and Family from its inception and continues to provide valuable advice and support.
Thomas McKenna, founder and president of Catholic Action, traveled to Rome for the Consistory and participated in the events surrounding it. Joining Mr. McKenna for the events were Pierluigi Molla and Gianna Emanuela Molla, son and daughter of the recently canonized St. Gianna Molla. The Molla’s are personal friends of Cardinal Burke and Thomas McKenna and are involved with our affiliate organization, St. Gianna Physician’s Guild.
Catholic Action and its members are honored to have Cardinal Burke as an advisor and look forward continued collaboration with him in years to come.
